¡¡¡¡¡¡Abstract:  With the development of information technology, clothing industry has gone into an unprecedented process of infomationization and internetization. For the clothing industry in Zhejiang, developing electronic commerce is a kind of effective measure to promote the competitiveness of enterprises. But at the same time, risk coexists with opportunity. 
¡¡¡¡ How should the apparel industry in Zhejiang make good use of this double-edged sword---electronic commerce to lower the cost, enhance the effectiveness, decrease the operational risk, reclaim the distribution channel, shorten the entire operational period and gain profit rapidly? Through the analysis of the current situation, future trend of the apparel industry in Zhejiang as well as the example of VANCL¡¯s application of electronic commerce, this thesis deepens the understanding of e-commerce in clothing industry and makes clear the future developing direction of it. Also, the thesis proposes that in clothing enterprises, the old operation philosophy need to be changed, the innovation and construction of the inside and outside to be emphasized and the competitiveness to be promoted. This thesis, to some extent, has realistic significances to the choosing more effective modes of e-commerce in clothing industry in Zhejiang, the reduction and avoidance of business risks as well as the maximization of profits.
